Little Pinkies Personalised Jewellery*

Wednesday, 22 May 2013

Little Pinkies is a fantastic company who offers a range of beautiful personalised jewellery like this above. You can choose from pendants, lockets, cufflinks, charms, bracelets and more. What i really like about the jewellery is that it is Sterling silver or Gold which means the quality is great and is going to last. You can have fingerprints, handprints of footprints onto any items.

It could not be easier to do, you order and pay online just as you would if you were ordering something that was not customised. You then get sent your 'inkless kit' in order to take the prints you want. The kit comes with your order form,  inkless wipe and instructions. The inkless wipe is so handy and easy to use. It's obviously less messy than ink which is great if you are trying to get babies handprints! You print onto the reverse side of your order form and send it off. Little Pinkies do their magic and in 2 weeks, you will receive your little package of printed jewellery!

I ordered the round necklace with Sienna's handprint on the front. They also offer any personalisation of words/dates you want and wherever you want it. I got Sienna's date of birth on the reverse side of my necklace but you can leave it plain if you want or have it underneath on the front, you really decide every detail.

I am over the moon with it, i think it is beautiful and the quality is great. I was also surprised at how quick it arrived. I was worried the prints weren't good enough which is why we did so many but it turned out perfect! They did a great job! It's such a lovely way to keep Sienna's handprints. We took prints when she was born but this way i get to wear it everyday instead of them just being kept in a box somewhere upstairs. It probably sounds cheesy but I also love the fact i have her with me all the time and people can see it, even if i'm out on my own.

I will definitely add another charm to my necklace if we have another baby and i think the prints on cufflinks would be the perfect gift for father's day! Please go and check them out :)

Pink & Peplum

Sunday, 19 May 2013

Action shot! haha!

Hairbands; Popbands,
Sunnies; Matalan,
Top; Primark,
Sandals; Dorothy perkins.

I wanted to see how i could style this peplum top for a daytime look, i have only worn it in the evening with heels and wasn't sure if i could do a casual look with it. (PS. i dont think it fits that great, its pretty big around the waist so make me look slightly bigger than i am but my boobies wouldnt fit in the next size down, booooo!)

On a hot day, what is more casual than jeans and flip flops. Well, maybe shorts, but i wasn't that brave ;)

I got these jeans, from the girls section in Tesco, they were a bargain at only £5 in the sale! So soft and in this gorgeous pink, i couldn't ignore them.  They're actually size 13-14 years and the length is perfect because I'm such a short ass!

The sandals were an amazing find in dorothy perkins, again only £5! They are so comfortable and real leather. Of course i had to add my love of leopard print into this outfit through the sandals and my pop bands!

I really like this outfit for spring/summer and glad i found a way to wear peplums in the day, so i can get more wear out of it! Its a very simple but pretty outfit!

Naturally Made For You body products*

Saturday, 18 May 2013

Naturally made for you was born from Kadifa trying so many products that didn't do what she wanted. Sound familiar? She searched on youtube and gained so much knowledge in what ingredients work and how to make your own products. She tried them and never looked back.  Kadifa now has a whole team who help her make and sell the products to likeminded women who prefer natural products.

The smells of these are amazing, i really prefer natural smells rather than artificial. You just can't beat it!

The Whipped Mango butter with grapefruit & lime is so refreshing and awakening, perfect for the mornings to really lift you! It's a mousse type consistency because it's whipped, so it is light and melts into the skin perfectly but at the same time very moisturising because of the oils in it. It leaves a slight sheen on the skin which personally i love but doesn't feel oily or tacky. I think it would look great on bare legs for a summer day to give that oiled effect and removing any drying of the skin.

The Whipped Shea Butter with vanilla is more of a subtle scent but i love anything scented vanilla. The consistency is also more dense and richer but a little less oily, i think this would be better if you're not into oils or have more oily skin. It is still very moisturising though and leaves the same sheen on the skin, it's more of an 'every day' scent i would say.

As for the Coconut caress body soufflé exfoliator, i thought this would be my least favourite because i'm not keen on anything coconut. But this is a subtle coconut scent so a lot more likeable for me. As you would expect it is a grainy texture to remove dead skin cells, and quite a course grain so is very exfoliating. Saying that, it spreads easily because of the oils so you don't need to use as much as some dryer exfoliators. It really helps remove the dead skin but also moisturises. It's a 2 in one product, perfect for busy ladies like me!

I am very impressed with the quality of these products and finally, something actually does what it says. I haven't been this impressed with skincare for a while and will definitely buy these when i have used my samples. I'm really getting more into natural and eco friendly products since having Sienna and trying to eat clean and this is one on my favourite brands i have tried so far! I'm very excited i found these and got the chance to try them and share them with you guys!

Please check Naturally Made For You out, their prices are great and i promise you won't be disappointed! I think they are amazing!

Little Champ baby sports toys!*

Saturday, 11 May 2013

Baby's toys have become a popular subject this week, with This Morning were asking if kids toys should be gender neutral or not. Something i have found with having a baby girl, is that if she's not dressed head-to-toe in pink and holding a pink doll, people refer to her as a 'he'.

There was a lot of debate about the question and i find when it comes to buying baby's toys, there is normally a clear divide with boys being blue and girls being pink. But what about those toys that are gender neutral? Little Champ is a company who's products are focused on sports. Sports aren't and shouldn't be gender specific and this is reflected in their products.

They have all the qualities of your average baby toys; bright colours, crinkly bits and a squeaker. But they are also more than your average baby toy, they have that extra bit of education which i think is excellent. They educate the baby on how to play the sport, grip and grasp their hand eye coordination. This makes it fun and more interactive than regular cuddly toys. They also come with the ring to attach to the pushchair, cot or baby gym and also acts as a teething ring!

I think these are a fantastic first toy and make excellent gifts to all babies. Plus points for being gender neutral ;) Everyone who has seen Sienna with them think they are such a super toy for being educational. They are also a toy that they can grow with, they are suitable from birth as a cuddly toy but still great for when they are a toddler and taking an interest in the sport!

Of course i am a girly girl who loves my hair and make-up, but i also like to stay active and healthy.
I feel that sport is part of healthy lifestyle and i will encourage from the start with Sienna so it is normal for her. I don't want Sienna to grow up thinking that sport is only for boys and she can't or shouldn't play rugby/tennis/golf etc. If she chooses not to do any sport that is fine, but she should know the option is there for her to choose. These toys should help remind her of that and show her how fun it is!

Little Champ toys are available from their website, prices starting from just £13.99.

Popbands Review*

Wednesday, 8 May 2013

Popbands are the new hairbands and headbands on the market. They have been designed to not kink or damage your hair whilst still being strong and stylish. They don't have any metal fastenings so there is no risk of your hair getting caught, they also look great wearing on them your wrist unlike the regular bands.

They are a great idea for working out, this lavender and grey one matches my workout clothes so i can still be fashionable! It keeps my hair out of the way and keeps it up tight so i don't have to keep stopping to put it back up!

The headbands are so cute that although Sienna doesn't like them, i couldn't resist having her model them (she doesn't look impressed!) They are soft and stretchy so fit a range of ages, i think they are particularly great for babies and children, i would much rather use these on Sienna when she is old enough to put her hair up than regular hairbands!

They have many different designs and styles to choose from, my favourite being this mint coloured one with a bit of a blingy jewel, perfect for the spring/summer!

Popbands start at just £4 individually or they do twinpacks, consisting of a hairband and a matching headband for only £6! All deliveries to the UK are free so get on the website and start ordering!

Totseat Review & Giveaway!*

Monday, 6 May 2013

BeauBelleBaby very kindly offered me one of their products for me to review. I chose the Totseat as i thought they looked great and very functional. I like functional, especially when it comes to baby products!

The Totseat is described as 'the washable, squashable highchair' for 'babies who lunch'. Anything washable is a big plus when dealing with babies and a in-a-bag highchair is a genius idea. It fits most chairs and is ideally suitable for children aged 8-30 months and is able to be tumble dried as well.

First is to assess the type of chair. If the chair has an open back, there is a super-secure cummerbund strap to create a back to the chair and add more support. Once this is on you can attach the Totseat.

How to use the Totseat;
1. Slip the Totseat over the corners/back of the chair. You can extend the Totseat by unbuttoning a button at the back to suit higher chairs if needed. If the chair is round, there is separate instructions for this but is just as simple.
2. Pull the cleat tight at the back of the chair to secure the top.
3. This is how it should now look.
4. Carefully insert the child with their back to the back of the chair, bring the Totseat up between their legs and the straps under the arms.
5. Feed the straps round the back of the chair and clip together. Adjust the tightness to make sure it is fully secure but comfortable and not too tight.

Easy as that! When you are finished, just take it off and pop it back in it's bag. And yes, it does go back into the bag easily, you don't need to fight with it like sleeping bags ;)

When trying this out on Sienna, i found it very secure and comfortable for her and i just think it is such a good idea. A few times, we have gone to pubs and restaurants and they only have limited numbers of highchairs and they are all in use. Sienna has ended up having to sit on our laps while we eat or laying her down next to us if they have  sofa type bench/chair. It really isn't ideal! The Totseat now comes with us everywhere just incase this happens again. It's also handy to take to families houses that don't have a highchair but is so much easier and smaller to carry around than a regular fold up highchair. It also takes up no more space and doesn't get in the way!

Now get your hands on one!!
